This collection of songs takes his music to a new place, drawing inspiration in part from the Southern California pop records of the late '60s and early '70s. The album was recorded primarily at Springsteen's home studio in New Jersey, with additional recording in California and New York. "This record is a return to my solo recordings featuring character driven songs and sweeping, cinematic orchestral arrangements," says Springsteen. "It's a jewel box of a record." The 13 tracks on Western Stars encompass a sweeping range of American themes, of highways and desert spaces, of isolation and community and the permanence of home and hope. Ron Aniello produced the album with Springsteen and plays bass, keyboard, and other instruments. Patti Scialfa provides vocals and contributes vocal arrangements on four tracks. The musical arrangements include strings, horns, pedal steel and contributions from more than 20 other players including Jon Brion (who plays celeste, Moog, and farfisa), as well as guest appearances by David Sancious, Charlie Giordano, and Soozie Tyrell. Bruce Springsteen's recording career spans over 40 years, beginning with 1973's Greetings from Asbury Park, NJ.' He has garnered 20 Grammys, won an Oscar and a Tony, been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, received a Kennedy Center Honor, and was MusiCares' 2013 Person of the Year. Springsteen's memoir 'Born to Run' (Simon & Schuster) and its companion album 'Chapter and Verse' were released in September 2016, and he was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in November 2016. His historic 236-show run of 'Springsteen on Broadway' at Jujamcyn's Walter Kerr Theatre in NYC ran from October 2017 to December 2018, and also yielded an accompanying soundtrack album and Netflix special.0B07SRF26YQ Details To Baby Registry To Wedding Registry To Wishlist A Friend Customer Reviews Offers SwiftAudio CD779286806025779286800602577928680Pop110EnglishUnknown1299USD$12.99Republic114156025493MusicABIS_MUSICRepublic2019-08-23RepublicLover6025779286806025779286801294USD$12.941000B07PB2W4LF Details To Baby Registry To Wedding Registry To Wishlist A Friend Customer Reviews Offers NelsonAudio CDSony Legacy1907593562201907593562270190759356227Shrink-wrappedCountry02150310562EnglishUnknown999USD$9.99SMG1128551114881MusicABIS_MUSIC2019-06-21SMG2019-06-2143SMGRide Me Back Home190759356227190759356227699USD$6.991599USD$15.9918200Product DescriptionRide Me Back Home is another incredible addition to Willie Nelson's legendary catalog that finds him working once again with producer Buddy Cannon. Ride Me Back Home sits beside 2017's God's Problem Child and 2018's Last Man Standing as a trilogy of superior songcraft exploring ideas of mortality with wisdom, empathy and a winking love of life. Nelson and Cannon co-wrote a handful of songs but also call on their favorite songsmiths…great writers with great stories to tell: Sonny Throckmorton, Guy Clark, Mac Davis, Buzz Rabin. The result is a magical collection of tunes with emphasis on the lyric. Backed by an amazing band of Nashville gunslingers, Ride Me Back Home finds Willie Nelson making some of the most inspired work of his career.0B07R37Y7JD Details To Baby Registry To Wedding Registry To Wishlist A Friend Customer Reviews Offers CDWarner Bros.060349785178206034978517820603497851782Shrink-wrappedPop0855910516EnglishUnknown1399USD$13.99Warner Bros.1135555105081MusicABIS_MUSIC2019-06-21Warner Bros.2019-06-21Warner Bros.Originals (1CD)6034978517826034978517821131USD$11.311094USD$10.9414300Product DescriptionBy the mid-1980s, Prince was dominating the charts even as a writer/producer with songs he'd composed and recorded for others. In addition to releasing nine of his most commercially successful full-length albums, he also wrote and recorded endless reels of material for proteges The Time, Vanity 6, Sheila E., Apollonia 6, Jill Jones, the Family, and Mazarati. Occasionally, Prince's original demo recordings would beused as master takes on their albums, with only minor alterations to the instrumentation and a replacement of the vocal tracks. Other times, artists would rely on his demos to guide them through their own recording process, with Prince's initial take informing their final version of his song. The aggregate effect was a complete saturation and transformation of the pop music landscape, with Prince both leading and subverting mainstream culture.
-
Several of the iconic songs found on Originals were considerable hits for the artists who recorded them. Sheila E.'s "The Glamorous Life" reached #1 on the dance charts in 1984, while the enormous success of "Manic Monday" propelled the single and its accompanying album, The Bangles' Different Light, to the #2 spot on the pop charts. The Time's Ice Cream Castle, featuring the top 20 "Jungle Love", spent a whopping 57 weeks on the Billboard 200. And in 1991, Martika enjoyed international success with "Love... Thy Will Be Done", a top 10 hit in France, Australia, the UK and the USA.

-

Originals pulls back the curtain to reveal the origins of these familiar songs, in addition to deeper album cuts such as Vanity 6's "Make-Up," Jill Jones's "Baby, You're a Trip," and Kenny Rogers' "You're My Love." The album also features Prince's majestic original 1984 version of "Nothing Compares 2 U," released in 2018 as a standalone single.

0B01L2ZS87S Details To Baby Registry To Wedding Registry To Wishlist A Friend Customer Reviews Offers Weezer (Blue Album)Rock0281232641228EnglishUnknownGeffen251520111120141095125012515201MusicABIS_MUSIC2016-10-28Geffen2016-10-28GeffenWeezer (Blue Album) [LP]6025479453966025479453961199USD$11.991834USD$18.3433200Product DescriptionWeezer, with its simple blue cover featuring a group band shot, was not like anything most kids in 1994 had heard before, taking its nerdy cues from strange places the 1950s, comic books, Dungeons & Dragons, the Bible and producer Ric Ocasek, pop auteur of The Cars. Initially released without a single or much notice, the album's sales started slow but eventually reached triple platinum status, spending 78 weeks on the chart and peaking at No. 16 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. It has sold 3.7 million copies in the U.S alone. Local radio play for 'Undone The Sweater Song' prompted an official release and video directed by then rising star Spike Jonze. The video featured the band performing on a soundstage, joined by a wandering pack of dogs. Their next Jonze-directed innovative video for 'Buddy Holly' helped spike the band s popularity and won four MTV video awards. The song rose to No. 2 on Billboard s US Modern Rock chart, one of three top 10 hits for Weezer. The album's esteem has only continued to rise in the decades since its release and its impact has been magnified. Rolling Stone placed the Blue album in both its lists of top 500 albums (No. 297) and top 100 debut albums, where it was No. 35: 'When it came out, Weezer's debut was merely a cool, quirky power-pop album with a couple of hit singles: 'Buddy Holly' and 'Undone (The Sweater Song).' But Rivers Cuomo's band became a major influence to the young sad-sack punkers who today claim Weezer as one of emo's pioneers. Mixing winking deadpan delivery with serious hooks, guarded sensitivity and a deep disinterest in alt-rock's then-roiling culture wars, they came up with a record that's aged much better than a lot of the serious indie-rock of the time.'0B07GRLPXPB Details To Baby Registry To Wedding Registry To Wishlist A Friend Customer Reviews Offers Gaga/Bradley CooperAudio CDInterscope6777553B002872502004898471292200489847129220602567775539Shrink-wrappedExplicit LyricsSoundtrack006025677755394755922488EnglishUnknown1277USD$12.77Interscope06025 6777553114055020490106025 6777553MusicABIS_MUSIC2019-06-14Interscope2018-10-05InterscopeA Star Is Born Soundtrack602567775539602567775539048984712922845USD$8.45698USD$6.98281000Product Description2018 soundtrack to the remake of the iconic film, performed by the lead actors Bradley Cooper & Lady Gaga with snippets of film dialogue interspersed between the songs.0B07QL3XC44 Details To Baby Registry To Wedding Registry To Wishlist A Friend Customer Reviews Offers RaconteursAudio CDThird Man08135470274980813547027498Shrink-wrappedRock03956220504EnglishUnknown999USD$9.99Third Man Records1135559204921MusicABIS_MUSIC2019-06-21Third Man Records2019-06-21Third Man RecordsHelp Us Stranger813547027498813547027498599USD$5.991099USD$10.998200Product DescriptionCD0B00006JIA4 Details To Baby Registry To Wedding Registry To Wishlist A Friend Customer Reviews Offers (Not Rated)Audio CDHollywood2061623602720616236029Freddy MercuryRoger Taylor07206162360290720616236029Shrink-wrappedBox setRock09156751508EnglishPublishedEnglishUnknownHollywood Records21203862061623602331105605051012061623602MusicABIS_MUSIC2002-09-24Hollywood Records2002-09-24Hollywood RecordsThe Platinum Collection: Greatest Hits I, II & III7206162360297206162360291227USD$12.271000USD$10.00311700Product Description
The most comprehensive collection of Queen hits ever! While it eschews the glammy, pre-punk hard rock of live faves like "Stone Cold Crazy" and "Tie Your Mother Down" for the band's more quirky club-beat string of latter-day hits, this 51-track triple-CD anthology goes a long way toward documenting the true dimensions of the band's music and fame. Some songs may not be instantly familiar to American fans because of yet another irony: just as their U.S. fortunes waned during the punk and new wave era, the band was exploding into true international superstars. Thus, there may be a sense of discovery here, whether of latter-day Queen material or solo work by Brian May and Freddie Mercury, whose duet on "Barcelona" with diva Montserrat Caballé transcends boundaries of both time and genre. A previously unreleased live performance of "The Show Must Go On" featuring Elton John on vocals is also included. --Jerry McCulley1B07R4WPYS5 Details To Baby Registry To Wedding Registry To Wishlist A Friend Customer Reviews Offers Black KeysAudio CD007559792495400755979249540075597924954Alternative Roc851284921199USD$11.99Nonesuch112051295001MusicABIS_MUSICNonesuch2019-06-28Nonesuch"Let's Rock"0755979249540755979249541188USD$11.881000Product DescriptionThe Black Keys’ninth studio album,“Let’s Rock,”will be released June 28, 2019 via Easy Eye Sound/Nonesuch Records. The long-awaited album, their first in five years, is a return to the straightforward rock of thesinger/guitarist Dan Auerbach and drummer Patrick Carney’searly days as a band. Rock and roll royalty Joe Perry, Hollywood superstar Johnny Depp and shock rock icon Alice Cooper join forces once again for the unmissable rock album of 2019. Seconds into the opening track 'I Want My Now,' it's clear this supergroup has created something special - the chemistry between the individuals is unmistakeable when they come together on stage or in the recording studio. Forget the star-studded lineup's individual reputations, 'Rise' is some of the purest, unapologetic and most enjoyable rock and roll of the year, made by masters of the craft and true fans of the form. ''Rise' is not only a totally different animal than the first Vampires album, it is unique to anything I've ever been a part of. I approached it very differently than I usually do when working on an album. Each of us; Joe, Johnny, Tommy and myself have written songs on this album. What is different though is that I didn't try to change any songs to be more 'Alice-like.' Because each of us has different influences, the sound of this album is very cool. I think that with this album, we are establishing what the Vampires' sound really is, whereas with the first album we were more tipping our hats to our fallen rock n roll brothers.' Alice Cooper0
